Palm Sunday, 2nd April

Said Communion for Palm Sunday – 8.00 am – St Mary’s

Eucharist for Palm Sunday – 9.30 am – St Mary’s and YouTube.
The focus for this service is the events of that first “Palm Sunday,” Jesus’ triumphal entry into Jerusalem, greeted by crowds of people to welcome him.

Maundy Thursday, 6th April

Maundy Thursday Eucharist – St Mary’s 7.30 pm.
A special service for Maundy Thursday. A deeply emotional service which begins as a joyful thanksgiving for what was, after all, the very first Communion service. At the end of the service though the altars are theatrically stripped, the choir sings solemn music, the lights are gradually turned off as we remember the falling away of Jesus’ disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane and we prepare for the horrors of Good Friday.

Good Friday, 7th April

A Good Friday meditation – a resource to be used whenever you wish.

A service rich in symbolic meaning, prayer, scripture and music.

A said service reflecting on the last hour of Christ’s life on earth.

Holy Saturday, 8th April

Easter Day, 9th April

Sunrise Service – 6.00 am – St Mary’s Garden of Remembrance
A short celebratory service, outside as the sun rises to greet Easter Day. The service will be followed by pastries, coffee and tea (indoors).

Sung Eucharist for Easter Morning – 9.30 am – St Mary’s and on YouTube
Celebrate Easter in style! This service will begin outside in the churchyard where we will light the Easter Candle. We’ll then go into church for the remainder of the service. An Easter egg hunt for children will take place in the churchyard after the service
