Service patterns are changing all the time in the light of government and national church guidance. Please see the Welcome Page for details for this week and the events calendar for services further ahead.
We are live streaming several services each week, you’ll find details, downloadable orders of service and links to booking and live streams below.
You can download the music list for the month (St Mary’s) here.
Sundays at St Mary’s, Ross-on-Wye
8.00 am – Said Holy Communion
This service is said, no hymns, no fuss and lasts about 45 minutes. It alternates between the traditional language of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer and Common Worship. The service has a small and loyal congregation made up of people who like to be up and about early! All are welcome and there’s no need to book places.
This service is live streamed on Facebook.
9.30 am – Sung Eucharist (Common Worship Order 1)
The main service at St Mary’s each week. People of all ages (from less than a year to more than 100) come to this service and there is always a strong community feel. We can currently accommodate a physical congregation of 60 and booking is required but the service is live streamed on YouTube. Music of a high standard is provided by St Mary’s choir, though currently via recorded content made on the previous Friday. (The monthly music list can be found here).
The service is followed at 11am with Digital Coffee. All are welcome. Make yourself a cup of coffee and follow the link on the Digital Worship page to join.
6.00 pm – Choral Evensong (Book of Common Prayer) is normally sung on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month. Currently it takes place on an occasional basis and is the only live choral service with a congregation.
A perfect end to a Sunday. This is a full “cathedral” style service, sung mainly by the choir. This service is also live streamed to our Facebook page. The monthly music list can be found here.
Sundays at St Michael’s, Walford
1st Sunday – 9.30 am – Morning Prayer (Common Worship)
The Church of England’s new liturgy for Morning Prayer. The service contains music.
2nd Sunday – 9.30 am – Family Service
The Walford Family Service is always very popular. The service is quite informal and very child friendly. Refreshments are served in church after the service. Music is modern and informal, sometimes led by a music group.
3rd Sunday – 9.30 am – Parish Communion (Common Worship Order 1)
This is the main service at Walford on the third Sunday of the month. The service, in contemporary language, is punctuated by hymns that are selected from a range of styles.
4th Sunday – 11.15 am – Family Service / Communion (Common Worship Order 1)
Another chance to enjoy a family friendly service, which on alternate months includes a Communion service. Refreshments served beforehand from 10:45am.
5th Sunday – 9.30 am – 1662 Matins / 1662 Communion
On these occasional dates we like to worship with a more traditional style (alternation between Matins and Communion) so come along for our 1662 format on the 5th Sundays in the month.

Services at Brampton Abbotts are taking place on a very occasional basis at present. Please see the events diary for detail.
