We always welcome gifts and donations to help the work of our churches. St Mary’s is facing particular financial difficulties. Our monthly running costs are over £1,000 more than our income. In less than a year we will have used up all our financial reserves.

We particularly encourage members of our congregations to consider reviewing what they give and how they give it, at this time.

The Parish Giving Scheme

The most efficient way to give, by a very long way, is to use the Parish Giving Scheme. This is a great modern and efficient way to give and one where the giver always remains completely in control of their giving. From our point of view the process is managed for us at no cost. Gift Aid is automatically reclaimed on all eligible donations.

You can sign up for the Parish Giving Scheme in one of three ways:

Sign up to the PGS by post

If you prefer to do it by post, you can pick up a Parish Giving leaflet from church and complete the form. Alternatively, please call the Ross Parishes office on 01989 562175 and we’ll get back to you.

Revise your regular giving via the PGS

If you already have an online account you can sign in and simply alter the amount you wish to give – it’s a simple process – a couple of clicks.

If you signed up some while ago on paper you can convert your account to digital. Call 0333 002 1271 it takes about 2 minutes and you don’t need any special information. If you don’t want to call them you can message them.

Or you can just call 0333 002 1271 and change the amount you give over the phone.

We encourage all members of our regular community to consider regular giving (above) but if you’d like to make a one off donation to St Mary’s, you can do that here.

Gift Aid

Gift Aid is important to us and helps your money work harder for us at no cost to you. If you use the PGS you’ll automatically be enrolled in the Gift Aid scheme if you tick the appropriate box. If you give in any way, and you haven’t been asked to do so, we ask you to complete a Gift Aid donation form, that way we can reclaim a further 25% on top of your donation at no cost to you.
