The Community Larder is open between 9.00 and 11.00 am each Tuesday, it’s in the basement of St Mary’s Hall, to the left of the steps into the churchyard from St Mary’s Street.

The Larder is staffed by volunteers from Ross and the surrounding villages. It works on a voucher scheme. The vouchers are available from agencies throughout the town such as Age UK, CAB, the Job Centre, British Legion, SSAFA, the Probation Service, NHS Social Prescriber, CAP, the Mental Health team, Housing Association, Turning Point. The local schools and nurseries, Alton Street and Pendeen surgeries, health visitors, family support workers, social workers and clergy also have vouchers. There is no limit to the number of times someone can visit the Larder but people can only come once a week.


Anyone wishing to donate food (non perishable goods) can bring it to the Larder on a Tuesday morning when the Larder is open, between 9.00 – 11.00. For large donations, (ie: after Harvest Festival etc) please telephone the Larder on 07748 319940 to arrange a convenient time.
Financial gifts may be taken to the Church Office – any cheque being made payable to Ross Community Larder.
