The Revd Sean Semple – Rector
Sean is our Rector, he is in charge of the ministry team and all of our churches. He lives in the Rectory in Ross with his wife Jenny and son Lex. Prior to 2015 he worked in the Presbyterian and Anglican Churches in South Africa, and in the Anglican Church in Cyprus. Sean was born in South Africa.

The Revd Colin Leggate – Chaplain to Commerce and Industry
Colin is a retired hospital chaplain and now a member of the clergy team. He keeps the church in touch with the business community in the town where he has recently been chair of the Association of Ross Traders. He takes services regularly around the parishes and is Chaplain to the local Sea Cadets.

The Revd Tiffany Jackson – Curate
Tiffany is originally from America and has been in the UK for 9 years. She came to Ross-on-Wye after 2 years of training at Trinity College Bristol. Before that, she ran a community centre working with north African and Middle Eastern immigrants in London. Tiffany is married to Stephen, they have a 4 year old son, Liam.

The Revd Prebendary Caroline Pascoe – Associate Priest
Caroline’s area of expertise lies in innovative projects and is very good at getting people to do things, probably because she used to work as Lay Development Officer for the Diocese of Hereford. Caroline leads on Messy Church and takes services from time to time in our churches.

The Revd Professor David Thomas – Associate Priest
David is a retired university professor. With ministerial experience in Liverpool, Cambridge and Blackburn, he taught at the University of Birmingham for many years, specialising in the study of Islam and Christian-Muslim relations. He now lives in Christchurch near the Hereford border, where he continues to pursue academic interests. He preaches and officiates regularly at services throughout the benefice. David is the newest member of our ministry team.

Canon Freda Davies – Licensed Reader – Bereavement Ministry

Freda is a licensed reader and takes services In all our churches. She has responsibility for some areas of the work that goes on within it. She works hard on prayer activities and within our bereavement ministry and organises popular activity days for local schools from time to time. St Mary’s is a Bereavement Friendly Church

Dr Derek Glover – Licensed Reader – Residential Care Homes

Derek is a licensed reader, a non ordained person who takes services In all our churches. He also heads up our support for, and work with residential care homes, in particular, West Bank. St Mary’s is a Dementia Friendly Church

Louise Jarvis – Benefice Administrator

Louise works in the office at Ross Rectory each week day from 09:00 – 14:00. She is often the first point of contact for enquiries. Lou is also our main verger at St Mary’s and will often be seen making sure everything runs smoothly at weddings and funerals.

Mark Sanderson – Director of Music and Church Warden at St Mary’s

Mark is responsible for the music in our services at St Mary’s. He plans music and musical events, rehearses and conducts our choirs and plays for services from time to time. He also manages the digital presence for all the parishes and is one of St Mary’s Church Wardens.

Adrian Taylor – Organist, St Mary’s
Adrian plays the organ for most services at St Mary’s, he oversees the care of the organ and works closely with the choir. Beyond St Mary’s Adrian is the conductor of Ross-on-Wye Choral Society.
