St Mary’s Open Weekend

We’re holding two days of celebration at St. Mary’s showcasing all that we do and the changes we have made. Over 20 stalls displaying the work of our church community in all its varied ways with opportunities to see behind the scenes and join in. Including a concert with the wonderful ‘Roaring Megs’ and The Phoenix Singers on Saturday at 7.30pm and concluding with a celebratory ‘come and sing’ Evensong at 4.00pm on Sunday.

Saturday 24^th February

10:00 – Exhibition opens

11:00 – 14.00 – Tower open for trips to the top and a chance to have a go at bell ringing

12.00 – 12:30 – Churchyard tour

14:00 – 14:30 – Behind the scenes of the organ

14:30 – 15:00 – Open the Book

15:00 – 15:30 – Churchyard tour

16:00 – Exhibition closes

19:30 – Roaring Megs & Phoenix Singers concert

Sunday 25^th February

12:00 – Exhibition opens

12:00 – 12:45 – Quarter peel rung by ringers.

13:00 – 13:30 – Churchyard tour

14:00 – 15:30 – Come & Sing A Victorian Evensong rehearsal begins

15:30 – 15:50 – Come & Sing choir refreshements in church

15:00 – 15:30 – Churchyard tour

16:00 – Come & Sing A Victorian Evensong – all welcome to take part in the choir or congregation
