2018 is a very special year for our annual season of Remembrance. Here are the events taking place in or around our churches.
Thursday 1st November
11.30 am – Dedication of the Field of Remembrance
Friday 2nd November
5.00 pm – Dedication of ‘Silent Fall’, our ‘weeping window’ of remembrance in St. Mary’s, it will remain in place until the end of November.
Thursday 8th November
11.45 am – Chelsea Pensioners Service at the Prospect
12.00 noon – Dedication of Falklands Conflict stone
Friday 9th November
‘Experiencing Remembrance’ exhibition in St, Mary’s, open to all, 9.00 – 4.00 free of charge. Schools’ workshops today.
Saturday 10th November
‘Experiencing Remembrance’ exhibition in St, Mary’s, open to all, 9.00 – 4.00 free of charge.
10.00 am – Act of Remembrance in Brampton Abbotts School with The Royal British Legion
Sunday 11th November
‘Experiencing Remembrance’ exhibition in St, Mary’s, open to all, 12.00 noon – 8.00 pm free of charge.
10.50 am – Remembrance Day Service at Walford
10.45 am – Act of Remembrance at the Prospect, followed by
11.15 am – Remembrance Service in St Mary’s
6.00 pm – ‘Battle’s Over’ – an evening of commemoration and reflection in St Mary’s and at the Prospect. See below. Battle’s Over Programme
