Holy Week and Easter is the most dramatic and important period in the Church’s calendar.
We look forward to seeing you on your journey from the triumphant entry to Jerusalem, via the Upper Room, the Garden of Gethsemane, Calvary and arriving at the Garden Tomb on Easter morning.

Maundy Thursday Eucharist

A special service for Maundy Thursday.
A deeply emotional service which begins as a joyful thanksgiving for what was, after all, the very first Communion service.
At the end of the service though the altars are theatrically stripped, the choir sings solemn music, the lights are gradually turned off as we remember the falling away of Jesus’ disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane and we prepare for the horrors of Good Friday.

Good Friday Service – Noon to 3.00pm – St Mary’s
A three hour service focusing on the last hours of Christ’s time on earth.
The first two hours will be a meditation and will focus on key characters at the crucifixion. If you can only manage an hour then come along and join in from 2.00pm for the “last hour” which includes a Eucharist, with some great music from the choir. Join us for all or any part of the service.

A short celebratory ecumenical service, outside as the sun rises to greet Easter Day. The service will be followed by pastries, coffee and tea in St Mary’s Church.

Celebrate Easter in style! We will light the Easter Candle at the beginning of this service and Easter begins (unless you came to the Sunrise Service in which case it begins all over again).
An Easter egg hunt for children will take place in the churchyard after the service. This service is live streamed.
