An exciting series of talks on aspects of the Christian faith. From the doctrine of the atonement to talking trees.
These have been taking place in St Mary’s at 5pm on Sundays since June, with three more sessions planned for September.
Each session features a talk, followed by a discussion on the subject in focus and then some simple evening prayers at 6pm, before we wander home, hopefully with faith confirmed and expanded too!
Theology need not be scary, it’s actually very exciting! Do come along….
All from across the benefice and deanery are very welcome.

1st September – Can trees talk? – The Revd Colin Leggate
In this session Colin will try to give some pointers to a Christian faith understanding of the politics of the war in Gaza. In referring to North American and Australian native’s relationship to their land we will consider how sentient is God’s creation.
2nd September – Praying with scripture – Canon Freda Davies
Details to follow.
8th October – Faith and history in the Early Church – Professor David Thomas
Details to follow.
