Crucifixus – Antonio Lotti

Here’s a testy piece for Good Friday, recorded by the choir this week and used in this afternoon’s three hour service. It’s the seventeenth century Venitian composer, Antonio Lotti’s 8 part piece, Crucifixus.

He was crucified also for us, under Pontius Pilate he suffered and was buried.
