A wonderful carol service to kick off our Christmas week at St Mary’s. Big thanks to all the musicians: choirs (both of them, and the Youth Choir parents), bell ringers, handbell ringers and coaches, soloists and especially to Adrian and Alex for their digital organ building work over the weekend to provide a replacement, at the last minute, for our ailing pipe organ.
Thanks also to all those who helped with candles, to readers, mince pie and mulled wine makers and servers, and to the many people who came along to the service.

Hello Mark
I was so looking forward to ‘joining in’ with livestream but couldn’t find a link so may it wasn’t done after all. If I was wrong and you did, could you please send me a link & tell me where to look! I looked at the St M’s website & couldn’t obviouly see anything.
Looking at the photos and your words I was surprised to learn that you have a handbell group. I had no idea! Have you heard about the Ariconium Handbell group based in Upton Bishop? I have been a member of that for many years now. Our next ‘gig’ is playing for about half an hour before UB’s carol service on Fri eve. Maybe one day we could do a gig together?
I am getting over a lurgy otherwise I was all set to go in person.
Frustrated from Hope Manell!
Thanks if you can help.
Best wishes
Fiona

Hi Fiona,
The stream is on the homepage of the website. But I don’t think the sound was very good. We’ve been having problems with sound on the stream recently, I’m afraid. We’ll talk about handbells.
