Come, collect a primrose for Mum!

The Mothers’ Union at St Mary’s invites you to come and collect a small plant for your mum from the north porch at St Mary’s. Normally flowers would be given for this purpose in the 9.30 service, this is the best we can do this year. When they’re gone, they’re gone!

Our Mothering Sunday Service will be live streamed on YouTube from St Mary’s on Sunday morning at 9.30.

God’s Story: Our Story – Brampton Abbotts School

Throughout Lent, in our 9.30 Sunday live streamed services from St Mary’s, we’ve been listening to stories from people in our community about how the last 12 months have affected them. As we reach the mid point of Lent (Mothering Sunday) we offer you key moments in a series of posts.

Today: how have they been doing at Brampton Abbotts Primary School? #LiveLent

Toast

As you may know, we’ve been posting regular Toast Story Time videos during lockdown, we hope you’ve been enjoying them, and thanks for your company. If you’ve missed any you can catch up at https://rossparishes.uk/toast

We’ve decided, now, to take a break for a while, until Wednesday 19th May when we’re hoping we can be back in church for a physical meeting.

More about that nearer the time. In the meantime – continue to keep safe, and we’re really looking forward to seeing you all.

Toast Parent’s social – Wednesday at 8pm

The toast makers have enjoyed producing our videos but we’ve really missed seeing all of you mums and dads ….so we’re inviting you to an informal get-together where we can chat,  exchange tips and experiences, and laugh, over a cup/glass of your choice.
Screens without the stress!
We would love to see all on Wednesday evening (17th February) at 8 pm.

And don’t forget to look out for this week’s Toast Story Time, also on Wednesday at 10 am.

Come Dine With Me is tonight …

There’s still time to book a seat at the table: https://rossparishes.uk/come-dine2. Here’s Melanie’s basic pancake recipe but don’t forget the exciting bit – the three fillings which you’ll find on the website.

This is one of our fund raising efforts for this year, our finances are seriously depleted and we need you’re help. If you’re not able, or don’t want to take part this evening please consider a donation. You can make that donation straightforwardly by using the PayPal donation button below, and don’t forget that adding Gift Aid – which is built into the process – adds a further 25% to your donation at no cost to you.

We look forward to seeing you later!

This morning’s service for The Ross Parishes is live

‘I didn’t ever think I would gain so much spiritual recharging from seeing services in this way. I always thought that the age, smell, history and the sense of serenity in God through Jesus could only be experienced whilst at church; of course I do feel that the ‘all encompassing’ feeling of connectedness is only attainable in church. But what a wonderful gift to worship in such a way! Praise be to God. And thank you all within for making services available online, it is much appreciated. Long may they continue, even after the dark chapter we are all experiencing now.’ – A recent comment from an online

A grateful worshiper

This morning’s service will bu underway shortly on YouTube. We look forward to seeing you there.
